Frequently Asked Questions
What is Coaching...
Do I need to be actively grieving to benefit from coaching?
Not at all. Grief coaching can be helpful whether your loss is recent or happened years ago. Healing is a lifelong process, and I’m here to support you no matter where you are on your journey.
What can I expect from a grief coaching session?
Each session is a safe and supportive space for you to share your thoughts and feelings, reflect on your experiences, and set goals for healing. We’ll explore practical strategies, coping tools, and personalized steps to help you navigate your grief and create a meaningful way forward.
What is grief coaching, and how is it different from therapy?
Grief coaching focuses on helping you navigate the practical and emotional challenges of loss by setting goals, building resilience, and fostering personal growth. While therapy often delves into diagnosing and treating mental health conditions, grief coaching emphasizes action, empowerment, and creating a meaningful path forward. Both are valuable, but coaching is especially helpful for those ready to take active steps toward healing.
How long does grief coaching take?
Healing is deeply personal and varies for everyone. Some clients benefit from just a few sessions, while others prefer ongoing support over several months. Together, we’ll create a plan that works for your needs and goals.
What if I don’t feel ready to talk about my loss?
That’s okay. Grief coaching isn’t about forcing you to share before you’re ready—it’s about meeting you where you are. We can start with small, manageable steps and focus on building trust, finding stability, and creating a space where you feel safe and supported.
You can join our online community or a coaching group.
How do I know if grief coaching is right for me?
If you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to navigate your loss, grief coaching can help you move forward. It’s perfect for those who are ready to take actionable steps toward healing, even if they don’t know exactly where to start. During an initial consultation, we’ll discuss your needs and determine if this is the right fit for you.
Who is grief coaching for?
Grief coaching is for anyone who has experienced a significant loss and feels stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward. Whether you've lost a child, partner, parent, or loved one, my coaching is tailored to help you rediscover hope and purpose at your own pace.
Will I get results?
I’m confident that my coaching can make a meaningful difference in your life. I’ve helped numerous clients achieve their goals, gain clarity, and discover new things about themselves. Grief work is hard, change is difficult, and commitment can be a challenge—but healing comes from how you spend your time, not just the passage of time. There’s no one-size-fits-all way to grieve, and I’m here to support your unique journey without judgment or pressure.
